Part 1 - I LOVE Fake Tattoos!

Above is just one of many examples! I love, love, love fake tattoos! Why? Well, there are multiple reasons I can dive into, but let's get started with a simple overview of where I get these amazing works of art currently and what my favorites are!

Starting off, I recently moved to a new apartment as many of you know from reading my previous posts, and that means I also had to pick out my local favorite stores. Luckily for me, my favorite grocery store is located in walking distance (I've only walked there twice, but it's totally thanks to the rain, okay). The first day I walked into my grocery store after grabbing a cart (note to self - if you grab a cart you always buy more 'cause you want to fill it up), I saw my favorite thing in the world - children's vending machines. Okay, maybe it isn't my favorite thing in the world, but it is close to it! They were also next to a ride-able dragon, which I would have been ALL over as a child, but now as an adult with a child heart I scooped up two quarters from my purse to buy myself a fake tattoo.

There are three fake tattoo vendors and a few candy ones, but as a smart adult, I know that the candy isn't worth my precious quarter. Instead I put two up for random in the same tattoo vending machine every time, fit them in the little slots (which is a great feeling by the way, but a bit of a challenge with my long nails), push the slot in and presto - out pops the cardboard slab containing my prize! It's a much cheaper loot box than anything you'd buy from a video game. Not only is the feeling of pushing and pulling these machines a thrill, but also that little heart thump I get right before opening up the cardboard to see what tattoo I received! Oh, it's another lion tattoo surrounded by leaves...I've gotten three of these. Oh, well! Now the fun begins as I think of where to put it on my body this time!

Out of the three tattoo vending machines at the front of the grocery store, I've only placed my money in the one with animals and black backgrounds like the shark tattoo image above. The other ones are of miscellaneous images with the typical black tattoo pattern or an obvious market towards girls - pink and sparkly girly things. Don't get me wrong, I'm into the other two as well, but the animals always get me every time I stop by before or after picking up my groceries. The last time I visited the vending machines, I popped my quarters in and picked up a jaguar (my second one), then tried for another and the quarters wouldn't press in. I ran the poor thing dry. Not feeling ambitious enough to try out another machine, I pocketed my coins for another day.

I have, and I'm not joking, asked the cashier for five dollars in quarters. I even asked to split a twenty dollar bill once! Some of the quarters I leave in my car in case I need them for taking an accidental toll road (it happens to me more than you think), but I also wanted to add them to my bebe wallet for
the next time I'm feeling down and need a little fake tattoo pick-me-up.

So, you may be thinking, okay glimmer what is this really all about? I can tell you by a few of my theories and you can determine which one seems the most plausible.

1. I'm a kid at heart. I love video games, stuffed animals, creatures with sharp teeth, animated movies, happy endings, toys, bright colors, playing make-believe, creating stories, dancing by myself with a hairbrush singing Backstreet Boys (okay that last one is a stretch, but they did recently have a new hit that is not too bad)! You get the picture. Fake tattoos are something I used to pick up when I was a kid and I don't know, they make me happy.

2. I love randomized...things. Something else I love to do behind closed doors is make new Pokemon nuzlocke variants (why behind closed doors?). If you don't know what that means at all...here's a link. I love to come up with new challenging ways to play my favorite games and usually that includes randomizing something in the game somehow. Pokemon names, where I can gain new team members, what moves they can learn...the list goes on and on.

3. I will never get a real tattoo, but I like the "flavor" it gives my skin. Okay, this one sounds a little weird, but hear me out! Tattoos are super cool, I especially like the smaller ones. I will never get a tattoo, mostly thanks to my nurse mother and her horror stories, but also because I like the feeling of having pure skin (but aren't those moles in the picture on your arm, glimmer?). Having a fake tattoo gives me lots of opportunities to put a tattoo wherever I like on my body! My favorite places are the hands, upper arm and back. I haven't tried my foot...but feet tattoos are cool! Guess where the wolf I just got is going next?

I am always going to "waste" money on fake tattoos. I will always jingle by carrying coins in my purse, even though I rarely use cash (honestly, only for paying people back because I don't trust apps like CashApp and like to spend it at food trucks). It's a weird thing about me, but it makes me...me. Hopefully this little insight can help you learn more about me.

Do you have something you always buy when you go to the grocery store? A can of beans? A danish? Let me know in the comments!

Love,
glimmer

glimmer's Super Duper Analysis on "Is it Worth it?" Collection series Part 1: Crash Crate - Box Today we will be discussing the Crash Bandicoot Loot Box from numskull and Activision, known as the "Crash Crate". In articular, we are looking at the box itself. After all, all the goodies had to come in something fun and Crash Bandicoot-related, right? As you can see from the above image, the crate fits all of the items inside perfectly. When first opened, the mug was wrapped in bubble wrap. The piece of thick paper with a jungle image was combined with the Crash bottle opener, wrapped in a thin layer of plastic. Besides the missing plastic and bubble wrap, the above image does a good job of showing you all what it looked like when first opening the box. Now, let's talk about the design (my favorite part of the discussion). I pulled the above image off the fan-made Crash Bandicoot Wiki,  Bandipedia . God, you gotta love the names of these wikipe...
Today's Discussion is on Therapists I had my first ever therapist visit. Let's go over it together! Looking for a therapist is as stressful as applying for a job. I had to call my insurance, double check my plan, search on different websites, read their bios, check their location to make sure it isn't too far away from work or home, call them, get an appointment, figure out my co-pay, figure out my deductibles, fill out their forms, print out their forms and...ugh! But, I did it! Here we are. Luckily my insurance pulled a rabbit out of their hat and I only had a co-pay of $5.00. That's much cheaper than my sister or dad's therapists. As I have said before, my sisters and dad see a therapist. This was my first ever visit to a therapist, so I was quite nervous. Throughout the week I kept plotting in my head what could go horribly wrong. Would I just abruptly leave? What if the chair was not comfy? What if I started crying? Luckily none of those questions en...
g1immer's 3-Day Video Game Review! Shenmue 1 Re-Release Hi everyone! If you follow me on twitch, you may be aware that I picked up a physical copy of Shenmue 1+2 for the Playstation 4 on its release date (this Tuesday, 8/21/18). I will go over my experience with the game, pros and cons, memories it brings up, etc! I hope this won't be too scatter-brained, but let's dive right in! First off, this was a re-release, NOT a re-master or a re-make. The difference, to put it simply, is that a re-master has increased graphics and that is it. A re-make would be everything looks way more shiny and new. A re-release is basically just the game and all its bugs and quirks, slapped on the new system. Graphics may still look like they are from the 2000's, but that era always gives me the heart flutters (you are talking to a girl who loved her Nintendo GameCube so go figure)! The box came with a poster with the cover art and the image on the back of it, with some girl an...
