If you know me (learn from my streams - g1immer's twitch channel), I love love love my 90's nostalgia. I also love material things - especially ones involving my love for 90's nostalgia! Well, I was browsing twitter the other day and what popped up at me was this: A Numskull Crash Bandicoot Loot Box. I''m usually not a fan of lot boxes, but what was cool about this one was:
1. It's from Numskull who I follow on twitter! They make so many cool products based on Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot that I've never picked u before. They also do free re-tweet contests (not sure if anyone ever wins 'cause I never see a "winners" tweet but hey).
2. Gotta love that Crash Bandicoot...
3. This loot box SHOWS you what you get, so you aren't blindly spending your money on it.
I'm a huge Crash Bandicoot fan and I love that Activision is turning their game into a huge merch storm like they did with Spyro's Skylanders and so on...nah, I kid! Sort of. But, honestly I don't mind ('cause I want more Spyro merch)!
After seeing it was a Best Buy exclusive, I popped into my nearest store after work and browsed around until I found it. I also found a $70.00 painted Crash statue (see here) and a Crash and Cortex little plushie (see here), which I did not pick up. I'm not huge on the first 4 figures Crash figure (although the Spyro one looks AMAZING - I mean look at this thing!) and the kidrobot plushes didn't grab my attention. However, the little Crash Bandicoot loot box crate that can fit in the palm of my outstretched hand was placed in front of the cash register.
What was included:
1 sturdy cardboard "crate" box
1 3 inch Crash Bandicoot bottle opener + 1 4 inch by 3 1/2 inch forest plastic art backdrop
1 sticker sheet including 7 stickers - "Crash Bandicoot" logo, Wumpa Fruit, Crash head icon (in-game level-up), Aku Aku, Crate, numskull logo, and Crash Bandicoot
3 Coasters - Jump crate, Nitro crate and TNT crate
1 Crash Bandicoot mug
So, you might have come here to hear if this $30.00 loot box is worth it. I will give you my honest answer - yes. You may go now. If you want to hear every little detail I have in my brain about the products, then stick around. I will post detailed pictures, gifs, websites, etc. so you can touch your computer screen and feel the product yourself! See you later!
